- Force required: Identify the force (KN) that the bellow actuator should make.
- Stroke required: Know the stroke required, the actuator should not work over the recommended height.
- Available space for the air spring: Analise the minimum space to locate the bellow actuator, also considering the minimum and maximum working height.
- Available air pressure: The air pressure should be specified.
- Angle of motion: The bellow actuator has an angular capability up to 30º. However, it must be checked:
- The highest point of the actuator must be lower than the maximum height
- The lowest point must be higher than the minimum height
- Environmental conditions: Revise the working temperature and check if it could create wear in the bellows. It should be analysed if the bellow actuator is in contact with any other aggressive substances, liquids, acids, etc.
- Cycle rate: Number of Cycles that the air spring actuator realises in a certain period.
- Response time required: Time required for the air bellow, in order to make the cycle.
- Special requirements: Special requisites for the bellow actuators as components, dimensions, compound types, etc.
