Rubber actuators on wood pilling machines and debarkers
The ORIA rubber actuators are also applicable in the wood industry, in those machines that are manufactured for the preparation of the wood raw material before its first transformation. Rubber actuators are placed mainly in cutters and debarkers.
The rubber actuator is extended filled with air by the pneumatic system and when the wood pieces are crossing the path where the blades are located, the rubber bellows make an important strength, while the bark is being cut, absorbing all the shocks.
Inside the wood industry, we can find another application used to take out the water from the wood pieces, as soon as we reach the final process of the wood transformation. As one of the final processes of the wood production, the bellows are used to tilt the wood pieces. Consequently, the water and other substances that might be between and above the wood pieces, falls to the structure below the rubber actuators.
Oria rubber actuator working in wood pilling machines and debarkers
The rubber actuator is used as an air actuator in order to move the blades and make the necessary strength to cut the bark of the wood, while it follows its path through the debarker. A very clear example can be seen in the following picture, so as to understand the application.
Experience of Oria’s pneumatic air bellows in the field
ORIA air spring’s experience in the wood industry is remarkable, considering that our pneumatic air bellows have been applied in these type of machines for more than 15 years.
