Flexible couplings are frequently used in boats. When starting the engine of the vessel motor, the transmission may suffer important shocks entailing ware or breaks in the installation.
In case of having a rough start-up, it’s recommended to opt for a coupling capable of absorbing the inertia moment, for this purpose, different coupling types could be used.
Even though this overstress may suppose a challenge some couplings, it’s not so much for the Uneflex coupling, due to its great capacity to absorb misalignments, vibrations and strong start-ups.
