Some months ago we were able to solve an issue in a coupling installation, where the transmission was made by a flexible coupling.
The coupling connection was not completely aligned and as a consequence, the coupling and its replacements were constantly breaking and creating wear in the machinery. Therefore, the UNE team together with the end user’s operators decided to test the UNEFLEX tire coupling, considering there were some misalignments not taken into account beforehand, creating those breaks. After the test, we came to the conclusion that the UNEFLEX was able to compensate the unwanted misalignments and shocks. For this reason, the life cycle was increased and the replacements are being required from time to time, avoiding urgent stops and maintenance operations.
