UNE coupling supplier has launched the Acoflex jaw flexible coupling with the new elastic polyurethane inserts, different flexible elements are available depending on the application, environment, and the coupling working conditions. The Acoflex coupling is a semi flexible jaw coupling able to absorb, axial, lateral and angular misalignments.
Among the Acoflex jaw flexible coupling series we can identify 3 different types of elastic inserts:
- Red polyurethane inserts: It has a great performance in high temperature environments.
- Yellow polyurethane inserts: It is the standard flexible element of the Acoflex model.
- Green polyurethane inserts: Applied mainly to provide a higher torque and performance in the application.

Acoflex semi elastic jaw coupling models A3 and A4
In the following picture we can find two Acoflex models A3 and A4. The A4 is mounted with the high temperature type (red colour) elastic polyurethane inserts and the A3 with the standard (yellow colour) flexible insert.
Practical use of the Acoflex semi flexible jaw coupling
One of the most important features of the Acoflex jaw coupling consists on its practical use when installing and replacing the elastic inserts. Just loosening the protection screws, the ring can be taken out and consequently the flexible element can be removed quickly without the need of consuming additional time and efforts. Afterwards, the new flexible element of the jaw coupling can be replaced, by finishing the assembly tightening the protection ring.
Une flexible coupling manufacturer counts with more than 10 references in the standard version of the jaw flexible coupling, from A00 to A10 models. In addition, different elastic jaw coupling series are available in the Acoflex product range with the possibility of applying taper lock, brake dum, disc brake or spacer execution.
