The Uneflex elastic coupling<\/a> is also used in conveyor belts, which are common in the mining industry and the usage is very similar as in the roller drive application, in the metal industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The minerals are placed on the conveyor belt following the production line process, until the final product composition is obtained. The uneflex\u2019s flexible coupling\u2019s aim consists on transferring the torque from the motor side to the roller drives, so as to move the big metal cylinders that are fixed to the conveyor belt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conditions in this application entail to use a strong coupling as the uneflex higly flexible tyre elastomer, taking into consideration that the materials carried by the conveyor belts are stones, and other type of minerals. Consequently, high misalignments and shocks have to be probably absorbed, and in case there is a brake in the tyre, the replacement could be made very easily in a very short period of time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like in other applications, for conveyor belts it might be useful to apply mortgages<\/a> in the coupling as a safety device, as it is common to have cranes in the installation. By this additional component, the operator is able to prevent the material from falling down and the shipment remains suspended due to the safety mortgages, avoiding possible damages and accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
